We are pleased to share the news of the call for abstracts now open in the occasion of a doctoral workshop with Professor Robert B. Pippin, to be held at the Institute of Philosophy at the University of Zurich on June, 9th 2015.
The Workshop goes under the title “The Nature of Conceptual Capacities”, and will try to put the notion in focus from the outset of an inquiry on the relationship between conscious thinking and acting and the natural environment it is set. A special consideration in treating the topic will be given to its relevance in determining the gap between the Hegelian and the Kantian outlook, thus doctoral students will have the chance to present their systematic work on (non)conceptualism and/or naturalism in cognition or action and discuss it with Prof. Pippin, a leading Kant and Hegel scholar and critical commentator on naturalist, neopragmatist and conceptualist readings of them.
The call is majorly directed to doctoral students, but it is nevertheless open to all others proving a strong interest in the field. Applications are welcome both for standard individual paper presentations (30 minutes talk and 30 minutes discussion) and for short points for discussion (15 minutes average).
Deadline for submission is 15th of May 2015.

Attendance to the workshop is free.
The workshop is organised by Professor Marco Toscano, and it is sponsored by the Swiss Natural Science Foundation (SNF).
