We are happy to give news of a Call for Papers opening for submissions to the UK and North American Societies Joint Conferences, on the theme: Religion and Politics in Kant, to be held in Keele, in September, 03-05, 2015.
The conference will see Otfried Höffe (University of Tübingen), Christopher Insole (Durham University) and Allen Wood (Stanford University) as Keynote speakers, and will host 3 Plenary sessions, to be held by Cécile Laborde (UCL), Pablo Muchnik (Emerson College), Dieter Schönecker (University of Siegen), Kenneth Westphal (Boğaziçi University) and Lea Ypi (LSE).
The event was organized thanks to the financial support of the Analysis Trust, the North American Kant Society and the “Marie Curie” Intra-European Fellowship “A Kantian Approach to Legal Tensions between Legal Obligations and Religious Commitments” at Keele and Keele University.
Papers are invited from academics, undergraduate and postgraduate students on any aspect of Kant’s philosophy. While papers in all areas of Kant’s philosophy are welcome, abstracts tackling the specific theme of the conference are most encouraged. To propose your paper for presentation, email an 800-1200 word abstract and your name and affiliation in a separate file attachment to Ruhi Demiray‘s attention.
The deadline is the 15th of May, and notification of acceptance will be given to selected paper proponents by June 1st.
