We are pleased to announce the III International Fichte Colloquium “J.G. Fichte – A Philosophical Life, a Living Philosophy”. The Conference will take place on 27-29 August 2014, at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) in Belo Horizonte.
The event, which will commemorate the 200th anniversary of the death of Fichte, is organized by ALEF (Latin American Association of Fichte Studies) along with the Internationale Fichte Gesellschaft and the Grupo de Pesquisa Idealismo Alemão (Research Group on German Idealism) of the Federal University of Goiás (UFG).
The main topics of the Conference will be: the nature of freedom, the relation between life and philosophy, the importance of education in order for freedom to realise itself; the actuality of Fichte’s thought.
Keynote speakers include: Günther Zöller (University of Munich), Christian Klotz (Federal University of Goiás), Thiago Suman Santoro (Federal University of Goiás), Vicente Serrano Marín (Austral University of Chile), Faustino Oncina Coves (University of Valencia), Matteo Vincenzo D’Alfonso (University of Ferrara), Emiliano Acosta (Free University of Brussels), and Christoph Asmuth (Technical University of Berlin).
