Happy birthday hegelpd!
Today, hegelpd turns 4 years old, and we would like to celebrate this event by sharing with our readers Franco Chiereghin’s article, Finaliltà e idea della vita. La ricezione hegeliana della teleologia di Kant, appeared in «Verifiche», 19 (1), 1990.
hegelpd was born on November 3rd, 2013, as a research website and blog sharing news and resources related to Classical German philosophy, curated by the Research Group on Classical German Philosophy at the University of Padua. Led by Luca Illetterati, Francesca Menegoni, and Antonio Nunziante, the group carries on a tradition started fifty years ago by Franco Chiereghin.
The blog has been providing up-to-date news about events, workshops, conferences, calls for papers, publications, and bibliographies related to Classical German philosophy, as well as about events involving members of our research group for four years now. It was and is intended as a resource for all scholars, students, and people interested in Classical German thought and its relevance to contemporary philosophical and cultural debates.
Since the day of its funding, the blog has been growing bigger, seeing the number of its visitors raise over the years.
A year ago, on November 3rd, 2016, the blog launched its new platform, realised by Eleonora Cugini and Donostia, with renovated layout and graphics.
Together with the makeover, the blog enlarged its aims, offering more space for sharing materials and research tools, and featuring an “images” section, where a collection of images contributed by the hegelpd staff stand along the image which had accompanied hegelpd‘s first three years of activity, becoming the blog’s emblem (Myoung Ho Lee, “Tree # 3″).
On the 4th anniversary of hegelpd‘s foundation, the editorial board wishes to thank past and present contributors and members of the editorial board, as well as our readers, old and new. We are committed to continuous improvement, and more features in the blog are to come.
For the occasion, we will have another picture by Myoung Ho Lee (Tree…#8, 2015) as header this week.
