New Release: Bernd Dörflinger, “Studien zur Religionsphilosophie Immanuel Kants” (De Gruyter, 2023)

We are glad to give notice of the release of the volume Studien zur Religionsphilosophie Immanuel Kants by Bernd Dörflinger, edited by Dieter Hüning and Stefan Klingner (De Gruyter, 2023).

From the publisher’s website:

Kant’s critical philosophy has had complex consequences for religion: on the one hand, Kant grounded the morality of religious premises independently while, on the other hand, still attributing the historical religions a role in the establishment of a moral “religious faith.” Bernd Dörflinger shows how Kant questioned religious claims to validity, putting a purely rational moral philosophy in their place.
