Kant Reading Party 2015: “Kant and Plato on Love” (27-30 July 2015)

The University of St. Andrews GradSkills Programme is pleased to invite you to the St. Andrews Kant Reading Party, which will take place between the 27th and 30th of July at the Burn House in Edzel (Scottish Highlands).

The topic of this year is Kant and Plato on Love. In particular, the aim of the event is to analyze Kant’s relationship with the historically and culturally prevalent Platonic doctrine, according to which love is somehow a vehicle for achieving the highest good.

The said aim will be pursued by reading and discussing selected texts from both thinkers.
