Workshop: “Philosophies of Nature: Schelling and his Contemporaries” (Bristol, 14-15 September, 2016)

We are glad to announce a workshop for graduates and early-carreer researchers that will be held at the University of the West of England (Bristol) on September 14th and 15th, under the title “Philosophies of Nature: Schelling and his Contemporaries”.

The event is part of the British Academy ‘Philosophies of Nature’ project and is organized by Professors Charlotte Ardewick and Daniel Whistler.

The workshop will be devoted to investigating the philosophies of nature of F.W.J. Schelling and his contemporaries: participants will take part in a series of close readings and discussions of extracts by Schelling, Hegel and Oken. In addition, there will be keynote lectures by Lore Hühn and Alison Stone.
