CFP: “Kant and the Cartesian tradition” (Kant e-Prints. Revista Internacional de Filosofia)

We are glad to give notice that the Call for Papers Kant and the Cartesian Tradition for a special issue of Kant e-Prints. Revista Internacional de Filosofia, under the coordination of Prof. Enéias Forlin, is now open.

The deadline for submission is August 20, 2021.

The issue will be dedicated to the most diverse intersections between Kantian philosophy and the Cartesian tradition; from papers that address reflections on Kant’s reception and criticism of Descartes and the tradition influenced by him (Locke, Hume, Spinoza, Leibniz, to name a few), to papers that address criticism of Kant himself and the way he received such tradition.

About Kant e-Prints

Kant e-Prints is a quarterly journal intended to convey theoretical productions on Kant’s philosophy, created by the Campinas Section of the Brazilian Kant Society (SKB) and associated with the Centre for Logic, Epistemology and the History of Science (CLE) of the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). As such, it does not distinguish lines of thought, nor methodological and doctrinal options, establishing as evaluation criteria of the submitted manuscripts: originality, novelty, compliance with the rules and guidelines determined in the policy of Submissions (https://www.cle.unicamp.br/eprints/index.php/kant-e-prints/about/submissions), in addition to the impact and relevance of production for research and discussions on Kant at the present moment. Kant e-Prints accepts for publication articles, essays, critical studies and reviews, in Portuguese, Italian, English, French, Spanish or German, and translations in Portuguese or Spanish. The journal seeks to promote, thus, the exchange and internationalization of research done in Brazil and abroad, with the central objective of disseminating and encouraging scientific research on Kantian philosophy, as well as highlighting the importance and timeliness of its thinking in contemporary philosophical debates.
